If your establishment only practices a few of the criteria items listed below, do not be discouraged to list your property with us. Please note that your business does not need to meet all the items mentioned on the criteria below. We want to encourage accommodation venues to improve their sustainability by following and/or introducing some, if not all, of the eco practices listed below.
Please note that by including any features or certifications on your listing, establishments that are found to misrepresent information about their venues will be removed from this site.
Please feel free to include as many of the following eco friendly practices that your establishment has on your listing.
Does your establishment:
- Use alternative renewable energy sources
- On-site water collection and purification systems
- Have a hot water solar geyser
- Installed energy efficient lighting
- Recycle whenever possible
- Use bio-degradable and non toxic cleaning agents
- Compost waste food
- Provide local employment
- Instruct your staff in green practices
- Participates in or promotes wildlife and nature conservation in your area
- Participates in or supports community projects
- Have a grey water system
- Have indigenous gardens
- Have any certifications
- Participate in carbon offsetting
- Use renewable or sustainable building technologies and materials
Does your establishment offer:
- Organic/home grown fruits and vegetables
- Free range animal products
- Food sourced locally
- Vegetarian dietary selection options
