Description
Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat Sound environmental practices form the very backbone of Bushmans Kloof. A National Heritage Site and Global Winner of Wildlife Conservations Programs in the Condé Nast Traveler World Savers Awards (2009) as well as the prestigious Relais & Chateaux Environment Trophy (2007). The reserve provides a sanctuary for the rare Cape Mountain Zebra, and has been pivotal in replenishing endangered Clanwilliam Cedars into the area.

A proud member of Relais & Châteaux, this ecological oasis was voted Best Hotel in the World 2009 (Travel + Leisure) and is the ideal refuge to let your spirit free, and be healed and restored by the powerful energy of nature. The breathtaking beauty and timeless tranquility of the wide open plains, majestic rock formations and crystal clear waterfalls, reconnects you with your inner self and life’s true essence.

Recognised as a Natural Heritage Site, the reserve is nestled at the foothills of the magnificent Cederberg Mountains, 270km from Cape Town. It is a malaria and predator free sanctuary for abundant flora and fauna, and home to many ancient San rock art sites.

Invigorating outdoor activities include exploring the reserve during nature drives, walking and hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing, archery, canoeing and swimming in clear rock pools.

Inhale the pure warm air, meditate alongside the rock pools, embrace the stillness and enjoy a wilderness journey to wellness with pampering and healing treatments inspired by ancient remedies and nature.

Indulge in delectable gourmet cuisine served at breathtaking locations, or simply unwind on your own private terrace.

Koro Lodge is a private, fully catered for villa, offering an exclusive wilderness experience for families and groups of friends.
